Panchakarma - The unique  concept of Ayurveda

Preparatory  procedures (Purva Karma) like Snehana (oleation), Swedana (Fomentation) are done before Panchkarma procedures and also as individual modalities of treatment . The human body can be detoxified by the five  basic cleansing procedures known as Panchakarma.

Vamana (Emesis), Virechana (Purgation), Basti ( Enema), Raktamokshana (Blood letting) and Nasya (Instillation of Medicated oil in the nostrils )are the Panchakarma procedures. These cleansing procedures increase the bioavailability and enhance the absorption of food, medicine and Rasayana in the human body. A perfect balance of mental, physical and spiritual health is achieved with the help of effective use of Panchakarma and Rasayana treatment.

The main goal of Ayurveda is to make every individual capable of coping with the increased day-to-day physical and mental stress levels and raise his physical and mental immunity levels.
